Jack In The Box Commercial
Sometimes life is not fair. For example, I live in the northeast part of the US. We do not have a Jack In The Box, or Sonic, What A Burger, Carl’s Jr., AM PM, In and Out, and many more. The only reason I know they exist is because my husband has lived all over the country and because of commercials like this one.
This commercial features a well-known fast food chain mascot, Jack. From what I understand, Jack has had a hard life. In the 80s, he exploded. He finally reappeared in the 90s, but was hit by a bus during Superbowl 43. He has been in the hospital since then, but is recovering.
Right before he was hit, he announced that everything on the menu is now available all day long. This made me even more jealous. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, but I am not usually hungry until 11am or later. All of the fast food places around where I live stop serving breakfast at 10:30am or earlier. The only place we have is Dunkin Donuts.
Lesson of The Day: Enough of my ranting, back to the commercial. This commercial is about the new all day menu, but more importantly, it is reminding people about the Jack In The Box brand. Regular customers might not be going to the restaurant as much and need a new reason to go. Commercials that remind customers usually do bring in more sales. The trick is to bring in enough sales to cover the costs of making the commercial and then to make a profit.
